Dr. Stephen Meraw recently completed his term as the 2023-2024 President of the American Academy of Periodontology. He also maintains a full-time clinical practice devoted to Periodontics and dental implant surgery, as well as a part-time appointment as Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, serving as a member of the faculty for the past 25 years. Dr. Meraw is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He completed his DDS degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Residency in Hospital Dentistry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Periodontics Residency at the Mayo Clinic where he also received a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences. He later earned a Masters degree in Health Care Management from Harvard University. A main area of interest includes regenerative and augmentation treatments clinically, and mentorship professionally.
